- Utilizing in-depth knowledge of data, systems, process flows, and procedures to provide analyses and recommendations on client projects.
- Demonstrating a profound understanding of the drug discovery process, pre-clinical studies, animal models, and related areas.
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in technology projects focused on scientific research, data analysis, and computational biology.
- Contributing to the development of tools and platforms that confer sustained competitive advantage to ZS in scientific consulting and research studies.
- Collaborating with technology team in building research platforms, research data models, and data lakes.
- Synthesizing findings, formulating recommendations, and effectively communicating results to clients and internal teams.
- Taking a leadership role in designing and executing analyses to test hypotheses, enhancing client scientific effectiveness.
- Leading project task execution by ensuring progress, organizing project data, and coordinating team meetings.
- Conducting issue analysis and developing hypotheses on key client issues.
- Collaborating with project leadership to meticulously define project scope and develop strategic approaches.
- Offering thought leadership and fostering innovation within projects and practice areas.
- Actively participating in business development initiatives.
- Serving as a coach and mentor to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
- Medical degree, PhD, or master’s degree in science, computational genomics, genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, systems biology, immunology, or related discipline, with a strong academic record in analytic and quantitative coursework.
- Proficiency in various data domains such as OMICS (genomics, proteomics), translational, clinical trials, real-world data, medical devices data, and digital pathology.
- Expertise in research and translational data standards, medical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies (e.g., ICD, NDC, SNOMED, MedDRA, LOINC, CPT, CDISC, OMICS, DICOM) used in healthcare data and ontologies.
- Understanding of tools and platforms required for the analysis of "omics" data, lab instrument data (e.g., flow cytometry, mass spectrometry), and translational data.
- Accumulated 4-8 years of pertinent work experience, showcasing extensive expertise in handling scientific data and delivering data management projects.
- Proven experience contributing to the development of data models and data products for scientific research data.
- Deep understanding of various research/ analytical use cases of various scientific data
- Basic- Medium proficiency and hands-on experience working with AWS, SQL, Databricks, and R.
- High motivation, strong work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative.
- Proficient understanding of project delivery concepts, encompassing methodologies like Agile and Waterfall, to effectively drive project completion.
- Experience as a Subject Matter Expert or Business Analyst within cross-functional teams.
- Aptitude for and enjoyment of leading and managing teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling impactful interactions with senior-level decision-makers.
