Marine Solutions Made Easy through Uniserv. Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified UTM (Ultrasonic Testing) and Rope Access Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using ultrasonic techniques on ships and offshore structures, adhering to strict safety protocols while working at heights using rope access techniques. Responsibilities: Conduct ultrasonic thickness measurements on various ship and offshore structures as per assigned work orders and project specifications. Interpret and analyze ultrasonic test data to identify potential material defects and prepare detailed reports. Operate and maintain ultrasonic testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. Participate in the preparation and execution of rope access plans for safe access to designated inspection areas. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures for both NDT and rope access operations. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and equipment usage. Assist senior technicians with training and mentoring activities (if applicable). Qualifications: ASNT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is mandatory. PCN Level 2 certification in UT from BINDT or equivalent qualification is a plus. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in performing ultrasonic testing on ships or similar industrial structures. IRATA International Level 3 Rope Access Technician certification is mandatory. Valid medical certificate for working at heights. Excellent understanding of safety protocols for NDT and rope access operations. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality assurance. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
