Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone JOB TITLE: Engineer- Pipeline (Onshore) Key Responsibilities A fully competent onshore Pipeline engineer who can work independently, or as part of a project leading a team of engineers and designers Performing Pipeline Design Specifications, Mechanical Design Calculations like Pipeline Wall Thickness, Road Crossings, Buoyancy, Anchor force, Upheaval Buckling, Hydrostatic pressure etc. Review of Pipeline Route Layout Drawings, Pipeline Alignment Sheets and Isometric Drawings for Launcher/Receiver Area, Approach Area, Pumping Stations, Compressor Stations, Sectionalizing Valve Stations, Well heads, Manifolds, etc. Review and Preparation Material Take-off & Construction BOQ and ensure that the correct material is ordered as per schedule Generate the Pipeline Material Specification, Datasheets, RFQs, Technical Bid Evaluations, (TBE) & Vendor Document/Drawing Reviews for all pipeline components. Stress Analysis for the Pipeline systems and render them safe for operation using CAESAR II and Auto PIPE Software. Design/Select the appropriate pipe supports for aboveground pipelines. Calculate the loads on aboveground pipeline supports as input for civil & structural design. Calculate the loads on underground pipeline systems to design the anchor blocks as input for civil design. Work out loads on equipment nozzles & ensure that they are not overloaded. Software Knowledge in AutoCAD/MicroStation, CAESAR-II/ Auto PIPE, and ArcGIS/Google Earth Planning of man hours, resources and organize the preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR). Field Engineering support activities for site queries. Essential Qualifications And Skills Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical /Pipeline) Minimum 5+ years of accomplished experience in Pipeline engineering with Oil & Gas industry Experience of managing multiple activities including Design calculations, Drawings, Material Engineering and Stress analysis for Pipeline engineering Strong leadership skills (proven success of leading people, ability to delegate and achieve results through teamwork) Additional Information
