The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in information technology and conducting research in their area of expertise. The candidate should be able to develop innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum, and course materials, engage in academic activities such as publications and presentations, and actively participate in departmental and college committees.Responsibilities:

Teaching: An Associate Professor in IT is responsible for teaching courses related to their area of expertise. This can include both undergraduate and graduate level courses.
Research: An Associate Professor in IT is expected to conduct original research in their field, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and present research findings at conferences.
Advising and mentoring: Associate Professors are often called upon to advise and mentor students in their field of study, particularly graduate students who may be working on their thesis or dissertation.
Service: Associate Professors in IT are expected to serve on committees within their department or university, and may also be involved in professional organizations related to their field.
Collaboration: Associate Professors in IT are expected to collaborate with colleagues within their department and university, as well as with researchers at other institutions.
Outreach and community engagement: Some Associate Professors in IT may be involved in outreach and community engagement activities, such as working with local schools or community organizations to promote STEM education.
Administration: In some cases, Associate Professors in IT may also have administrative responsibilities, such as serving as department chair or program director.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
At least 5 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels in a reputable institution.
Demonstrated research and publication record in information technology or a related field.
Ability to develop and teach courses in areas such as software engineering, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cyber security, and mobile computing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in mentoring and supervising students in research projects.
Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation.
