As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing processes and systems to meet production goals while maintaining high quality standards and safety protocols. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, experience in manufacturing environments, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: 1. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization to maximize production efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime. 2. Production Planning: Collaborate with production planners to develop and implement production schedules and workflows to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines. 3. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures and procedures to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues. 4. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate equipment maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration, to ensure optimal performance and minimize production disruptions. 5. Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events, Lean manufacturing projects, and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence. 6. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards by implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and providing safety training to production personnel. 7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to resolve production-related issues and drive process improvements. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) or related field. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production engineering or process engineering role. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and fabrication techniques. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools and techniques. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Minitab, or statistical software. Experience with production planning and scheduling software systems (e.g., ERP/MRP systems). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and standards applicable to manufacturing operations (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
