- Provide strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of the safety, health and environment function for FLSmidth Cement, including short and long term road maps for the area
- Defines, develops and lead the implementation of standards, policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments
- Ensure accidents and environmental incidents are investigated and liaising with employees, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence
- Ensure and overall responsible for training and audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety
- Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization.
- Promotes a culture of personal and team HSE & Travel security, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities
- Alternative thinking and ready to shift direction to ensure goals are achieved
- Able to delegate responsibility to employees in the HSEQ community, and holds employees responsible for their actions and level of performance
- Demonstrate drive, commitment and have the senses of urgency in cases where strong leadership is needed.
- Able to keep a holistic view on solutions ensuring HSEQ requirements and business needs are linked together
- Keeps the organization safe, agile and fit for purpose in uncertain environments
- Able to communicate experience and expert knowledge to anticipate changes in the internal and external environment
- Take leads and drive changes, demonstrating understanding and best practices across the organization
- Able to transfer experience to other, and build a higher level of HSEQ understanding in the business
- Understanding of internal and external customers’ needs and use this understanding to create the best possible solutions

- Demonstrate strong visible leadership and create follow ship in own HSE Community and across the leadership level in the region
- Able to stay focused on achieving results, even in the face of significant obstacles and changes in the organization
- Technical/engineering background as HSEQ manager, including people leadership experience in a global context
- Experience from similar position in bigger international companies
- Min. 12-15 years of experience within HSEQ
- Leadership education/training – preferable worked as leader for an HSEQ team
- Can show documented results of performance
- Insight and understanding for local and international legislation
- Experience with international standards as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001
- Lead auditor, or similar auditor experiences
- Lean Six Sigma qualification and experience
- High level of communication skills (spoken, reports, presentations)
- Process driven with result as mindset
