- Location: Manali, Himachal Pradesh Indian Himalayas
- Duration: 3 months contract, with possibility of extension
- Lead and guide individuals or groups on mountain treks, climbs, and expeditions.
- Provide instruction and guidance on proper climbing techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Assess and manage risks associated with outdoor activities, including weather conditions and terrain challenges.
- Demonstrate proficiency in route planning, navigation, and emergency response procedures.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and skill development among participants.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, communication, and customer service at all times.
- Collaborate with fellow guides, support staff, and clients to ensure smooth and successful expeditions.
- Previous experience as a Mountain Guide, Rock Climbing Guide, or equivalent role.
- Extensive knowledge of mountain environments, including flora, fauna, geology, and weather patterns.
- Certification in wilderness first aid, CPR, and other relevant safety training programs.
- Proficiency in technical climbing skills, including rope management, anchor systems, and belaying techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate diverse groups.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
- Physical fitness and endurance to endure long hours of outdoor activity in challenging conditions.
- Fluency in English and any local languages spoken in the region is a plus.
