ABOUT THE JOB POSITION We are seeking motivated candidates for our Engineering Unit located in India, to collaborate with the colleagues in Germany, having the ability to understand customers' requirements and to translate those into products and services. REQUIREMENTS Good understanding of the power, control, protection and interlocking principles for Industrial manufacturing plants applications - PLC & Networking hardware, Servo controls, VVVF Drives, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Safety systems etc. Capabilities to size and select actuators, protective components and sensors. Good knowledge of EPLAN P8 including script-based design validation through automated checks Good knowledge of English (reading technical documentation, good conversational skills, able to make precise reports), knowledge of German language would be an advantage. Candidates interested in learning German language will be supported. Responsibilities Perform engineering calculations to size process control equipment such as motor control centres, I/O cabinets, cable dimensions, bus bars, control networks and panel cooling systems etc. and develops electric controls design schematics. In coordination with the software department, design system architecture, develop equipment layout, produce single line, Ethernet, ProfiNet, Profibus layout, cable routing and detail design of control systems. Determine electric controls engineering design by studying project concepts, objectives, priorities, and requirements; researching, analysing user and potential user input; evaluating similar and related products and systems; in-house templates and references identifying and establishing performance standards. Ensure system and product design are in line with Risk Assessment, Safe Electrical Design and Safety Related Parts of the Control System guidelines and compliant with the contractually applicable European, American and other applicable national norms. Using EPLAN P8 software, prepare project documentation mentioned above, according to current norms and rules, as well as contract specifications, Preparation of workshop documentation for pre-cabled machines and junction boxes, preparing layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams; collaborating with related mechanical and production engineering design teams; evaluating components, materials, and suppliers; identifying and resolving design integration/interface issues; determining and establishing design specifications and safety standards, also considering the challenges coming from Process environment heat, dust, humidity etc. Support engineering in the development of standards and specifications, including a complete purchase parts list related to controls systems, maintain electrical design templates and repositories and support in update of master database for E-Plan standards (Macros, Article databases , Functional templates etc.) Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 8 - 12 years of relevant experience. 4+ years of Design and/ or manufacturing/ maintenance or equivalent experience (in a machine building company will be a plus) Hands-on experience in designing, maintaining and commissioning of high-volume manufacturing Industrial equipment e.g. Cement, Steel, Power, Mining etc.
