Position DescriptionBusiness Division: CreAgroDepartment: New Product DevelopmentLocation: UdaipurPosition Title: Research Scientist - New Product DevelopmentLevel: ExectivesReporting to (Title): Head - New product DevelopmentPosition PurposeThe role holder shall report to the Head - New product Development and shall be responsible for testing of new active ingredients against target insect/disease/nematode species for the purpose of advancing the identified leads from the discovery to pre-development. Tracking the biology & toxicology study progress, data collection, analysis and storage in ELN.Strategic ResponsibilitiesRemain at the cutting edge of knowledge required for the new a.i. discovery/development activity in crop protection through constant updating of personal knowledge and own skill-setsOperational ResponsibilitiesResearch Activities

Testing of new active ingredients against target insect/disease/nematode species in the lab/GH/Field in the international locations
Planning and coordinating payments, sample requirments of development & toxicology studies.
Monitoring the development & toxicology study progress, data collection, analysis and generating insights.
Troubleshoot and solve scientific problems.
Present results in cross-functional project teams and work across various projects / programs.

Documentation

Document and record findings in electronic notebook/research reports / papers for further dessimination / filing.

Process Adherance & improvements

Adhere to all safety / information security / quality norms related to research procedures.
Participate in process improvement inititatives under direction of Head - New Product Development.

Collaborate with team members and cross functional teams to ensure meeting research objectives.

Education QualificationPhD / MSc in Agriculture or allied subjects (Plant pathology/Entomology/Crop Protection)Work Experience2-3 years of post-academic industrial research experienceIndustry to be Hired fromAgro Chemical / Seed / Agriculture Universities or InstitutesFunctional Competencies
