Design Manager

• Lead and manage the engineering team comprising of static equipment design engineers and draughtsman
• Review and approve the engineering deliverables like mechanical design, technical specs for procurement , detail engineering drawing of static equipment like pressure vessels, Heat exchangers , columns, reactors etc in compliance with international codes and standards, project specification and general specifications prevalent in Oil and Gas, petrochemical, fertilizer and other associated industries.
• Organize the work plan of the engineering team to meet the project timelines, tracking progress of the plan , monitor team productivity and follow through.
• Forecast the resource requirements and suitably plan the recruitments
• Participate in project schedule review meetings and provide updates on the engineering progress and schedules.
• Participate in customer meetings to resolve technical matters.
• Provide technical training , guidance to junior engineers, and encourage their professional development and knowledge of static equipment design
• Implement and monitor the Quality systems as per ASME QC Manual
• Develop and continually improve the departments procedures, work instructions, process maps and standardising engg activities where ever possible
• Implement and monitor the Quality systems as per Enpro IMS quality system and lead the engineering team during the re-certification audit.
• Implement and monitor the Quality systems as per ASME QC Manual and lead the team during ASME U , U2 and S stamp re-certification audits
• Lead the engineering team during any other certification audits, customer audits , etc

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relatted field.
• Significant experience (15+ years) in static equipment in the oil and gas sector ,of which atleast 5 years in leading a large team
• In-depth knowledge of static equipment design, relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, TEMA, EN, PED).
• Experience in thermal design using HTRI would be an advantage
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools used for static equipment .
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead and provide Engineering deliverables work within established timelines and budgets. •
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the other functions.
