For more information, please visit Digital Green's website: . e-FARM (Empowering Farmers with Agency, Resilience and Markets) is a project being implemented in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh with an objective of develop and demonstrate a scalable and sustainable model that strengthens engagement in FPO-farmer transactions and increases the value proposition that farmers realize from participation in FPOs. Job Summary The position is primarily responsible for implementation and delivery of the e-FARM Project being implemented in partnership with Identified resource institutions, CBBOs, SRLMs, Govt departments and FPOs in Madhya Pradesh. They are responsible for planning, monitoring, coordination, team supervision, budget management and reporting of the project in line with the Digital Green's operating procedures / policies, grant agreement and statutory requirements. In addition to delivering the project, as a senior member of the state program team, they are also expected to provide thematic support to other initiatives as and when required. The position reports to the Regional Head/Sr. Project Manager of the project and will manage 5-8 field level data officers. Responsibilities And Duties Program Delivery - e-FARM Project In line with the agreed objects in the project framework, in close coordination with resource institutions, CBBOs, SRLMs, Govt departments, and FPOs, follow the detailed project implementation plan to develop monthly plans, targets, and resource deployment plan to achieve project goals - including capacity building, innovation, data analytics and digital extension of advisory to farmers. Plan monthly activities with partners in the assigned district/s, coordinate with state teams and partner organizations including Govt departments to implement the programs as per agreed plans. Liaise effectively with partner organizations, Local Forums, government bodies at district & state level, and other Program Units in India. Nurture and strengthen partnerships with resource institutions, CBBOs, SRLMs, Govt departments and FPOs, other technology partners, and community groups as required by Digital Green's mission. And share the same with key stakeholders for informed decisions on the ground Ensure the project deliverables in line with the donor contract including efficient utilization of budget, budget tracking, overall compliance and completion of results framework Document key lessons and ensure that the donor reports are submitted on time Select FPOs, RIs, Departments and SRLMs to achieve the objectives of the e-Farm project. Create monthly plans in a participatory manner with all the stakeholders. Liaise with the FPO ecosystem players to extend more services to FPOs. Implement agreed capacity-building plans and ensure partners / FPOs use data to manage their day-to-day activities. Nurture and strengthen the partnerships with all the stakeholders, primarily RIs, CBBOs, FPOs, and Govt institutions. Plan quarterly/six monthly budgets to ensure project deliverables. Share the progress and learnings with all the relevant stakeholders as per agreed norms. Dovetail with other projects implemented by DG in the same geography Thematic and technical support To ensure that the project activities are implemented in coordination with other complementary initiatives, bringing synergy and collaboration to ensure optimal resource utilization and enhanced effectiveness of DG initiatives To build technical and thematic understanding of the state team as well as the national initiatives of DG through regular sharing of lessons and knowledge from the project To support other state-level initiatives as and when required to provide additional support, coordination, and facilitation as a part of the larger state-level program To represent DG at district and state level meetings, share lessons learnt, build relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure value addition through sharing of information and resources with other initiatives in the state Team Management To monitor, supervise, support and motivate the team involved in project implementation To provide administrative support and supervision to direct reportees as and when required To set targets on a project, annual, quarterly and monthly basis to the team, monitor progress, undertake periodic assessments and provide critical feedback to the team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of project implementation To support in hiring process, in coordination with HR for any recruitments for the project, as and when required To coordinate and engage with other team members in the state, other state offices, national offices as well as global HQ as and when required To ensure that the project implementation team maintains an excellent professional rapport with key partners and stakeholder staff, aligned with the overall objective and ensuring synergy and coordinated approach To ensure that the project team always has clarity on their roles, goals and approach To ensure that the data/information from the field team is periodically collected, analyzed and presented to the state head and national program team To ensure that the team meetings are regularly scheduled and the platform is given to all the stakeholders to express. To ensure that all the team members are clear about the goals as well as budget, all activities are documented and shared with the stakeholders and also ensure cross learnings for all the team members. To ensure that team members are aware of data privacy policies. Building donor communication reports & budget spending narratives To ensure that reports are prepared and submitted on a timely manner as per donor requirements with critical information and evidences To ensure that project budget is managed efficiently, with control to ensure value for money and optimal utilization of resources within the authority and approval levels set for the position. To approve such actions and budget as per the authorization levels assigned to the position and ensure that approvals and authorizations from relevant authorities are obtained on time to help efficient implementation To ensure that all sub contracts including financials are managed in line with organizational policies and donor requirements, including reports and financial statements from such sub- grantees and contractors on time To regularly analyse project budget and inform the supervisor and other relevant team members on any critical aspects related to budget and ensure that corrective measures are taken To undertake documentation of all activities pertaining to program implementation and proper recordkeeping of all program related documents, incl. documents related to grant management, and reports Qualifications And Skills Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably) in Agriculture / Development Studies 6 - 8 years of relevant work experience (preferably working with FPOs & managing digital products in the field) Experience in conducting training/capacity building programs for FPOs. Good network ability to connect the FPOs with Input and Output linkage ecosystem players. Skills & Competencies Experience working with a diverse team, including across time zones, cultures, English- language ability, and backgrounds Willing and able to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and undertake travel Understanding of the Agriculture and Extension sector Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrates ownership towards the implementation of strategy and channelizes partners' effort for achieving results Demonstrates quality excellence.
