2. Ensure GRIR for receipt of parts in day-to-day basis and communicate the respective planner in case of any short/excess receipt or any other discrepancies.
3. Planning of Binning activities for the receipt parts once GR is done after necessary transactions in CBS (SAP) and confirming the right location in line with system WH location.
4. Based on the production order posting in line with MPS, bundle list to be prepared and segregation as well for picking the parts.
5. Hot part to be set for the shortage parts during bundle list processing so that hot parts to be moved to line directly.
6. Picking to be ensured (right part, right location) as per bundle list and kitting to be done in the staging area before movement to line.
7. Preservation audit to be done frequently to check the SLED parts expiry so that it can be consumed on a FIFO basis.
8. Determines overtime need, determines priorities when resources are insufficient, and decides when disciplinary action is necessary.
9. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment/ assets to increase efficiency. Works to improve processes, timeliness and reduce costs by eliminating non-value-added activities in Logistics function.
10. Implement various corporate initiatives such as 5S,Vision Zero Drive, Defect free Culture, Lean Manufacturing [BIQ, RPRT , SLA], 6 Sigma, IMS certification etc.
11. Responsible for training and development of staff, time keeping, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, and ensuring consistent application of organizational needs.
12. Responsible for 3PL service and performance management.
13. Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, affirmative action, etc. in performing assigned duties. Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
14.
