Position
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team and manage the hospital's IT infrastructure. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing servers, networks, storage systems, and other critical IT infrastructure components to ensure the seamless operation of hospital systems and applications.Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, including physical and virtual servers, to support hospital operations.
  • Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal server performance and uptime.
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Implement and maintain storage solutions, such as SAN and NAS systems, to efficiently store and manage hospital data.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical hospital data.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to hospital staff and end-users to resolve IT-related issues and ensure smooth operation of hospital systems.
  • Conduct regular security audits and implement security best practices to protect hospital IT infrastructure from cyber threats and breaches.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure management and recommend innovative solutions to improve hospital IT operations.
  • Document IT infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives, such as system upgrades and migrations, to support hospital growth and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of server, network, and storage technologies, including Windows and Linux servers, Cisco networking equipment, and SAN/NAS storage systems.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, like VMware.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues.
  • Good understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications, such as MCSE, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+, are a plus.
