We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP-Resilience Risk. The Opportunity: Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and represent Issuer Services on HSBC's Operational Resilience Risk Programme and support Product risk teams based in UK. You will work with the Product Risk lead and various teams to support the implementation of the Operational Resilience and wider Resilience Risk agenda across Issuer Services (ISV). You will also provide risk management support for Third Party Risk. This will involve working with senior stakeholders /Risk Owners to ensure that the businesses operate within the Group's risk appetite, adhering to both external regulatory and internal control requirements. Further ensuring that top and emerging risks are identified and managed on a timely (and where possible proactive) basis. The role requires the role holder to work in a complex and ever-changing regulatory environment. What you'll do: Deliver the key Non-Financial Risk Optimisation deliverables (Operational Resilience, process Risk Control Assessments). Implement the resilience risk target operating model as defined by the programme Provide SME capability on Operational resilience in the business, on process wide design meetings, helping support various elements of the program. Ensure adequate training, communication, guidance and support to Issuer Service to improve the process led view of risk management, and to reinforce and embed & Implement key requirements. Engage with Sector, Operations, Programme, CCO, Risk Stewards and the Control Owners to understand the actual controls that mitigate the most material risks impacting Issuer Services Assist in responses to regulatory requirements raised by programme, business, risk stewards Prepare and coordinate BSO Governance forum for Business and actively engage with stake holders Facilitate first line management in scoping and performing risk and control assessment, identification of control weaknesses and their remediation plans as per the Non-Financial Risk Management Framework Engage with the first line stakeholders, second line risk stewards as well as third line audit function to align overall Non-financial risk status for the business. Requirements What you will need to succeed in the role: Technical Skill Requirements Experience in Issuer Services with exposure in Non-Financial Risk Management, Risk Management Governance, or Risk roles. Knowledge of control framework, specifically a strong understanding of HSBC's Non-Financial Risk Oversight (NFRO) framework is an asset but not essential Sound relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior executives across multiple functions Ability to use initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders and team members, distributed across functions and locations Experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships across a globally distributed matrix organization Background in Operational resilience, business resilience within a financial industry setting Educational Requirements Relevant Risk Management certifications would be an added advantage Personal Skill Requirements Strong management skills including ability to delegate, negotiate and influence a range of stakeholders Excellent written communication, research and analytical skills Ability to work autonomously Ability to work across regions, and build relationships with stakeholders globally Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in the Operational reliance/ resilience risk / Operational risk, at least some of which should have been Banking. Minimum 12 years of risk & control experience - e.g. 2LOD / 1LOD operational/resiliencerisk, risk, audit with a focus on information security / information risk. Performance of risk and controls assessments related to information technology and information security.
