The Data & Analytics team provides our client-facing Intelligence & Insight and Advisory teams with immediate access to relevant public domain intelligence.About the OpportunityAs a Research Manager, your time will be divided as follows:
  • 70% on ensuring the data and analytics produced by the team are of high quality across diverse therapy areas specially Oncology, Immunology, Neurology and CVRM
  • 20% on coaching and line-managing team members
  • 10% on conducting secondary research and providing research support to adhoc and business development initiatives

The Research Manager position requires a thorough understanding of the evolving biopharmaceutical market and trends. Knowledge of drug development and commercialisation is also required.
  • Reporting: You will report to a senior executive within Prescient's India office
  • Time Allocation: 95% of your time will be spent in office, with 5% spent on domestic or international travel (for client meetings, conferences and inter-office visits)
Key Responsibilities
  • Secondary Data Analytics: Source, analyse and report published information, be it scientific, clinical, commercial, corporate or regulatory, within Prescient's proprietary InflexionRx software platform
  • Market Analytics: Evaluate business models, clinical development strategies, market dynamics and competitor threats and other methodologies
  • Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with other members of the Analytics team to analyse and synthesise findings and develop insights and implications to create deliverables and daily alerts that deliver a linear, evidence-based story on the topics in focus
  • Task Management: Plan and execute data research and analysis, and develop innovative methods to conduct research in specific therapeutic areas. To support
  • Internal Client Management: Collaborate with members of other Prescient business teams to ensure that clients experience best-in-class insights
  • Quality Control: Monitoring and maintenance of the disease datasets for which your team is responsible for. Ensure the work completed by team members is accurate and timely.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in the assigned therapeutic area and analyse industry trends
  • Line Management: Mentor members of the Analytics team by identifying their strengths and opportunities and supporting their development; maintain a sustained focus on delivering concise insights that can create impact and be of value to our clients
  • Internal Client Management: Collaborate with members of other Prescient business teams to ensure that clients experience best-in-class insights.
Required Experience and Skills
  • One or more of the following advanced degrees in life sciences: PhD, MTech (biotechnology or related areas), MPharm, MSc/MBA and MBBS
  • 6-10 years of relevant professional experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, academia or consultancy organisations, of which at least 2-4 years were focused on oncology and/or immunology; experience in people management
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organise and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to analyse data and generate value-added insights and implications
  • Knowledge of the drug development and commercialisation processes and a deep understanding of clinical trials and patient segments
  • Familiarity with data science tools such as Tableau, power BI etc. will be an additional advantage
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Fluency in English
